Colorado officials order further evacuations as flash floods worsen

Guardian: Thousands more people were ordered to evacuate their homes in Boulder on Friday as rain continued to cause severe flooding in the city and elsewhere in Colorado.
Several creeks close to Boulder rose to dangerous levels late Thursday, after rain forced many residents from their homes the night before. At least three people have been killed in Colorado, and thousands more have been forced to seek refuge in shelters.

Guardian: An eclectic group of celebrities including Yoko Ono, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Susan Sarandon have joined forces in a music video calling for New York state to ban hydraulic fracturing.
Titled Don't Frack My Mother, the song was written by Sean Lennon, with about 25 musicians, actors and comedians performing in the video.

Guardian: Yoko Ono might not seem the most likely bus traveller. Northern Pennsylvania, on a cold, snowy January day, might not seem a likely destination.
Yet the threat of hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, and its impact on the farm she and John Lennon bought in New York spurred Ono and her son, Sean Lennon, into action.
