Fracking Opponents Try Again for Ban on Michigan Ballot

Detroit News: The wheels begin to turn in earnest next week on efforts to bring a ban on hydraulic fracturing before Michigan voters in 2016. When Michigan's Board of State Canvassers meets Tuesday, the four-member panel will review forms for the collection of signatures to initiate legislation. Low lake levels have Michigan harbors scrambling to keep waterways navigable

Detroit News: So much of Pentwater's well-being hinges on the channel -- the 2,500-foot-long entryway from Lake Michigan to the harbor. The channel brings in boats. The boats bring in visitors.
