Thirty Meter Telescope construction vehicles leave amid Mauna Kea protests

KHON: Some construction vehicles are turning around and leaving as hundreds of protesters block their path on Mauna Kea Wednesday. Construction on the Thirty Meter Telescope was scheduled to resume but so far, no vehicles have been able to reach the site. The development comes as more officers with the Hawaii Police Department and state Department of Land and Natural Resources continue to make arrests. More than 10 people have been taken away in handcuffs, including Ulises Consuegra, 44, of Kailua-Kona.......
