Yale Environment 360: Natural gas production from all seven major shale formations in the U.S. is projected to drop next month for the first time since the shale gas boom began in earnest roughly a decade ago, according to an analysis from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Eight environmental organizations announced today they intend to sue the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to force it to set new and tighter standards for disposal of oil and gas drilling and fracking waste that they say threatens public health and the environment.
